Leaves and clay

As I have said before I love working with  clay
pushing the soft mud around and pressing things of nature into them.
This piece is what I call a Slump Pot.
I first took a lump of clay and rolled into a ball.
Then flattened it with the palm of my hand and gently rolled a leaf into the clay.  With my thumb I made in prints on the edge.
Instead of glazing this piece I painted it with watercolors and then added a very shiny acrylic glaze.

I think this one has a Mexican flare and I love Ginkgo Leaves
